My childhood friend and matron of honor in my wedding moved with her family to California almost two years ago now. During her recent visit up north, I wanted to capture her family while she was here. It is a beautiful thing to watch our daughters interact knowing that we also were kindred spirits at that age.
Whether it be a piece of man-made metal overgrown with moss, or rays of sun visible through industrial cables and crossbeams, I am inspired by the juxtaposition of man and nature.
In portraits, I find it is my desire for my subject to feel beautiful that inspires me. I deeply want the person to see themselves the way I see them; uniquely lovely.
